Coerver® First Soccer Skills

First Soccer Skills is Coerver® Coaching’s market-leading proposition to parents of beginner players, ages 4-7. First Soccer Skills is more EDUCATIONAL, more EFFECTIVE, and more FUN than any other introductory soccer skills program. FIRST SOCCER SKILLS builds the essential foundations young players need before they step into organized, competitive team play.

The Coerver® Foundation Pyramid has 4 components:

· Skills (Basic Ball Mastery, and simple 1v1 Moves)

· Speed (particularly mental reaction speed)

· Shooting (kicking technique)

· Small-sided games (2v2/3v3)

First Soccer Skills mission is:

· To help children develop self-confidence and a love of soccer

· To develop important foundation skills with a focus on ball mastery, striking/shooting, and how to play in small-sided games

· To develop listening skills, extended concentration, speedy reactions, as well as core social skills of communication and cooperation

· TO HAVE FUN!

Coerver Louisiana has expanded it First Skills offering to include 7 year olds as well!

Summer 2025 Covington First Skills Academy

The Summer First Skills Academy allows individual players AGES 4 - 7 to learn and develop their technical soccer skills regardless of whether they are currently on a soccer team. Players will be expected to work on executing skills with both feet because Coerver Kids do not have a weak foot!

Sessions will focus on effective ball mastery skills, 1v1 skills and keeping soccer FUN.

This First Skills Academy will be a 6-session program on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm at the Covington Youth Soccer Fields at 74020 Penn Mill Road, Covington, LA. Sessions will be on the following TUESDAYS: June 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2025.

Registration will be capped to maintain a desired coach to player ratio. Avoid the waitlist; REGISTER NOW!

Summer 2025 Slidell First Skills Academy

The Summer First Skills Academy allows individual players AGES 4 - 7 to learn and develop their technical soccer skills regardless of whether they are currently on a soccer team. Players will be expected to work on executing skills with both feet because Coerver Kids do not have a weak foot!

Sessions will focus on effective ball mastery skills, 1v1 skills and keeping soccer FUN.

This First Skills Academy will be a 6-session program on Saturday mornings from 6:00 - 7:00pm at the Spartan Soccer Fields 658 Spartan Drive, Slidell, LA 70458. Sessions will be Monday through Thursday on July 28 - 31, 2025.

Registration will be capped to maintain a desired coach to player ratio. Avoid the waitlist; REGISTER NOW!

In case of inclement weather, all campers will be directed to leave the field and seek shelter. If camp is cancelled after it has started that day due to inclement weather, then parents or guardians will be asked to return to the field to pick up their camper. Please note, we do not have indoor facilities available to accommodate players for the remainder of the camp session. Registration fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation due to inclement weather.
