Coerver® Coaching Performance Academy

The Performance Academy (PA) is a Technical Development Program, for youth soccer players. It is brought to you by Coerver® Coaching, "The World's #1 Soccer Skills Teaching Method", and their international partner Adidas®.

Coerver® Coaching Performance Academies operate around the world with the aim of maximizing each player's development. This is achieved by providing each player with professional coaching, age specific technical curriculum, and excellent facilities.

Our aim is to develop confident and creative players while teaching essential social skills such as good sportsmanship and respect, in addition to a good attitude to practice and play. The PA is a progressive series of instruction in Ball Mastery, Receiving and Passing, 1v1 Attacking skills, Speed (including the speed of thought), Finishing and Group Play. All this results in improving player’s ball control, 1v1 skills, creativity, speed of play and overall Soccer IQ.

The Performance Academy is not a soccer team. It is a supplement to the training that players get from their competitive or recreational soccer team. The goal of the Performance Academy is to make highly technical, skills training available to all players regardless of which club they play for or which club coach they have.

The Performance Academy focuses on each level of the Coerver® Coaching Pyramid of Player Development©. The foundation of any Coerver® Coaching course is Ball Mastery, which will be emphasized and repeated using a variety of fun individual challenges and small-sided games. We utilize the Coerver® Method of ball mastery and graduated pressure to build technical competence and play carefully selected games to build functional success. We foster creativity by giving the players technical building blocks & encouraging bold actions in developmentally appropriate games. Our games are designed to be fun, challenging and to reward bravery and risk-taking. Small group tactics and principles of play are taught in attack and defense by utilizing the structure of the many small sided games, which have made the Coerver® Curriculum so unique and emulated throughout the soccer-playing world.

ADVANCED PERFORMANCE ACADEMY in Covington

Coerver Louisiana is hosting a Coerver® Advanced Performance Academy from 6:30 to 8:00pm at the CYSA Fields at 74020 Penn Mill Road, Covington, La. on the following Thursdays: June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, and 18, 2024.

This Advanced Performance Soccer Camp is available for boys and girls aged between 8-12 years. Unlike other camps, the Coerver® Advanced Performance Soccer Camp couples more complicated moves with the Coerver® Skills Bridge to allow young players to be in the right environment to be able execute new techniques under game-like scenarios. Throughout the program, players will be challenged to develop bilaterally because Coerver® Kids do not have a weak foot. Each session will end by putting players into competitive games with an emphasis on 1v1 or 2v2 play.

Covington First Skills Academy

The Summer First Skills Academy allows individual players AGES 4 - 7 to learn and develop their technical soccer skills regardless of whether they are currently on a soccer team. Players will be expected to work on executing skills with both feet because Coerver Kids do not have a weak foot!

Sessions will focus on effective ball mastery skills, 1v1 skills and keeping soccer FUN.

This First Skills Academy will be a 6-session program on Saturday mornings from 5:30-6:30pm at the Covington Youth Soccer Fields at 74020 Penn Mill Road, Covington, LA. Sessions will be on the following THURSDAYS: June 6, 13, 20, 27, and July 11, 18, 2024.

Registration will be capped to maintain a desired coach to player ratio. Avoid the waitlist; REGISTER NOW!

Slidell, Spring First Skills Academy

The Spring First Skills Academy allows individual players AGES 4 - 7 to learn and develop their technical soccer skills regardless of whether they are currently on a soccer team. Players will be expected to work on executing skills with both feet because Coerver Kids do not have a weak foot!

Sessions will focus on effective ball mastery skills, 1v1 skills and keeping soccer FUN.

This First Skills Academy will be a 6-session program on Saturday mornings from 9:00-10:00am at the Pope John Paul High School practice field (adjacent to campus) at 1901 Jaguar Drive, in Slidell, LA. Sessions will start on April 6, 2024 and conclude by May 11, 2024. Registration will be capped to maintain a desired coach to player ratio. Avoid the waitlist; REGISTER NOW!
